Works better than expected June 30, 2005 J. Bandy (southwest US) 47 out of 49 found this review helpful
I was apprehensive about this collection bag based on the reviews. However, for the price, and because I was generating a lot of saw dust, I decided to give it a try. I do have a rather powerful shop vacuum that I would sometimes attach to the saw for larger jobs, but that was always a hassle, and particularly for those occasional short cuts. So, I decided to try this dust bag.
To my pleasant surprise, it has worked very well. Apparently, Bosch has made some improvements since other reviews were written, since the bag I received was made of heavy cloth material and has a nice zipper in the bottom for easy saw dust removal. The bag collects virtually ALL the saw dust that goes through the dust port, and only when the neck of the bag got inadvertently restricted by the power cord did it ever clog up. On the occasions when I've attached the shop vacuum, I really have to say that I don't think it collected much more saw dust than this simple (and inexpensive) dust bag does.
So---bottom line, the dust bag seems to have been redesigned by Bosch, and for me it works well, and much better than expected. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong.
Bosch TS1004 Table Saw Dust Collector Bag March 8, 2007 David Palmer (Kent, Ohio) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have had this saw for a while and use my shop vac hooked to the dust port which works great. I do at times have the vac in another location and the dust collector bag is a great option. I like the way is is tubular and the dust collects at the bottom and is easy to remove and dump.

Does what it's designed to do. April 21, 2009 J. Hirsbrunner (Castle Rock, CO) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Here's the deal, this is a table saw. It makes sawdust. The hole on the back by the power cord is a sawdust exhaust port. If you have a dust collector, by all means plug a vacuum hose into that port and it may even collect all the dust. I do not have a dust collector, this means the exhaust port throws sawdust a good 7 feet or so out the back of the saw. Adding this collector bag now means I only have to sweep up directly under the saw, not under the saw and an arc 7 feet out away from the saw. To me it's absolutely worth it, but it won't replace a several hundred or thousand dollar dust collection system.
Bosch bag works on other tools May 27, 2007 R. H. Miller (Chicago) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Since 2" dust exhaust ports are standard on many tools and the wire loop on the bag easily clips on any round duct, I put one on my Rigid portable table saw and another on my 20 year old Craftsman band saw. Both work great! Especially since no equivalent is avialable from either manufacturer. Much better than a $100+ bottom catcher and easy to empty.
Better than piling dust on your floor September 25, 2008 Mark Sanchez (Phoenix, AZ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First, I don't have a dust collection system, but do have a shop vac and the Bosch dust bag is still the 2nd best of my 3 options, and probably the best option for the money period. The bag has a pretty good capacity, and in itself doesn't seem to cause any clogging in the saw's exhaust port that wouldn't naturally occur. It clamps securly to the port and its simple to use. I preffer it over hooking up my shop vac because it doesn't draw any more power, is super easy to hook up, and is easier than tripping over my shop vac that always gets in the way. This does a very good job at collecting dust and I would definitely recomend it to anyone not using a collection system.
