Works okay - recommended October 15, 2008 A. S. Templeton (Seattle, WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I dunno what the complainers are griping about. When installed and adjusted properly, the insert does exactly what it's supposed to do, namely minimizing tearout and stopping thin trimmings dropping down into the motor works.
Works fine! July 18, 2008 William E. Erickson (DeWitt, MI) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This zero clearance insert works fine. Earlier reviews said it was cheap and flimsey but it seems to do the job for me. I think some people get so obsessed with ultimate perfection that they loose site of the overall picture.
very sturdy insert December 19, 2006 Joshua Hunt (Tucson, AZ) 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this for my Bosch 4000 table saw. This is a very sturdy and strong insert. Bosch sells a zero clearance insert, but it doesn't even compare to this. The one I bought is for my dado blade and it works perfectly. It has four adjustment screws on it that allow you to make it perfectly flush with the table.
My only gripe is that it didn't "perfectly" fit the opening in the table. I had to do some very light sanding and then it fit great.
This is the #1 insert for the Bosch table saw.
Clean cut August 24, 2008 Waltman01 (Fla.) After having problems from plywood veneers "chipping" @ the cut edge, purchased this unit - it solved the problem!
Works better than metal inserts July 18, 2010 C. Evans (Seattle) Set the angle of your table saw blade.
Lower the blade below the deck.
Install the plastic insert.
Power up the saw and slowly raise the blade.
This cuts a perfect slot for the blade.
Now you can cut small or thin pieces without jamming or breakage!
Works great with dado blades or blades set to a steep angle.
