I installed this filter on my outside tap to remove the rust particles when I got drinking water. It removes the rust and does not ice up in 10 degree temperatures.

The title says it all: an inexpensive water filter for your garden/water hose that actually works. Can be back flushed or disassembled to clean. If you are sick of water spots on your cars, boats, and such this is for you.

Bought this to use with my electric pressure washer after I lost the proprietary filter that came with the pressure washer. It works fine and seems to stop a lot of the junk from getting into the washer. I also use it to fill up my daughter's mini pool and for washing my car. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a simple filter that'll stop most junk.

I bought this for a laundry tub in the basement that gets it's water before any softener or conditioner (that is, untreated). It does filter quite well. I also had leakage problems as others did. I wrapped the threads with Teflon tape and stopped all leaking. Obviously the threads on the filter are undersized. Having done that, I am satisfied.

Works fine if you don't mind 5% of the water leaking out. Also no accompanying instructions and it cracks easily if you tighten hard trying to stop the leaking. Mine cracked and I had to shave and sand the clear male end to reduce the leaking. Just to clarify, it leaked before it cracked. Other than that, it filters effectively, cleans easily and probably deserves 2 1/2 stars. I would have returned it but couldn't find another similar product on the market.
