Very Pleased March 1, 2009 David Fischer (El Dorado, CA USA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I've grown to depend on this little saw and use it as much as my gas saw. It's important to use a (silver) One+ battery - else you'll have complaints like the other reviewers - but with the more powerful battery the saw has a surprisingly long run.
My 11 year old son works with me clearing our property and I'm contemplating buy a second one of these saws.
It's light, it's quiet, it's safe.

I have been quite pleased with this little tike. With the newer Ryobi bats this little saw can chew threw 10" trees. Granted that size tree does take a bit of time. Its performance is pretty amazing considering how small and lightweight it is. Anyway, as long as you know its limitations (this isn't a heavy duty tool) then I have no problem recommending this little saw for lightweight work.
Updated 08-04-2009: It turns out that I like this little saw so much that I ordered a second one.
Surprisingly useful June 3, 2009 W. Pugh (Deep South, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have two of these (I guess I was so impressed by the first). No trouble in quickly dropping a 12 inch oak tree. Battery life ... depends on the age of the battery: if the battery is say three years old it may indicate that it is fully charged but it won't run this saw very long.

I have a gas powered chainsaw, but find this product has many practical uses. It is great for trimming branches because you don't need to keep it running. It does a great job. I have had it 2 weeks and have used it 5 times. May sure you have a couple lith. batteries. They last about a half hour with this tool.
Does what I need it to do... March 22, 2009 DGXMII 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have one corner of my property covered with heavy vines with bases that are easily 4-6 inches and rooted in really hard to get to areas. The chainsaw is small and light and was easy to get into these tight spots(had to cut with one hand at times). It ripped through the brush with out a problem. I also used it to cut up fallen branches of similar size and it went through that easily also. I was probably out there for roughly an hour and a half on one battery.
I haven't tried it on anything larger yet but if I had to guess...I would believe it could deal with a small to medium size tree, just would take a lot longer than with a more powerfull gas saw.
Definitely worth the money as long as your realistic about what you're using it for.
