I've been using this for 10 years now
I'm now on my second cleaning stick. Depending on usage this may last several years.

Why did no one tell us about these when I was a young man?

This will "unload" a belt or a disk sander in just a couple seconds. Generally the belt or disk has much much more life in the grit than the time it takes to load up with debris. I've not done a formal study, but I think I am getting about five times the life on my table-top belt sander, and maybe three or four times the life on the disk part of it. Of course it depends on the grit. The finer the grit the quicker it loads and the more necessary this cleaner is. The cleaner does not wear out the belt at all so I often touch-up the belt every week or so whether it needs it or not.

Once you start to use these cleaners (I don't think brand matters, these are simply chunks of natural rubber), you start buying more expensive belts instead of the "throw-aways" and you take more pleasure in sanding as it is quicker, neater, and doesn't burn the wood.

Be Cheap!
I very rarely need to change belts with this. It's as though the belts last forever when you unclog them with it. I compare using this to using a pencil eraser, except that the surface is moving and the eraser is not. Buy this. You won't regret it. Why waste money on new belts?

Really Works!
This Product is one of few, that really do work. I have many sanding belts and disks (even dremel sanding barrels) that I was able to restore with this stick. I sand wood, plastics, and metal. You can imagine how dirty my belts get. Just touch the disk to the belt and sand, like you would a piece of wood. The particles in the clogged belt come right out with little mess, and the belt cuts like new. You will be suprised with it's performance.
