just what I was looking for
I was really happy to find this item. I just wish the shipping would be faster.

Adapter needs an adapter
This adapter works well, once a vacuum is connected. Unfortunately for me, it didn't mate with Shop-Vac accessories. So, I had to make my own...kind of defeats the purpose, eh? Sorry, DeWALT...Not your best effort...but better than nothing!

Works as promised, but don't bother
The Adapter attached to my belt sander's dust port with no problem, but as stated in a prior review, Dewalt's dust port doesn't attach to the body of the sander very well. When I tried to use it, the weight of the vacuum hose just kept pulling the port off the sander. And I don't see an easy fix, its just the design of the clip-in dust port.

So the adapter works as promised, but don't bother buying this because what it attaches to can't support the additional weight.

the fein vacuum hose I have fit like a glove, but the rubber clamp that holds the adapter to the belt sander came lose a couple of times during sanding. I would like to see DeWalt design a better clamp to hold the Vacuum adapter on with

Works like it is supposed to and fits perfectly onto the sander and the vacuum cleaner.
