Dewalt Laser
Very good product. The laser line could be larger, or the size of the blade.

Could be better
I purchased the DW7187 as an accessory to my recently purchased DW715 Miter Saw. The installation was reasonably easy. I adjusted the laser according to the directions. Unfortunately, the laser does not retain the settings once a few cuts have been made. As noted in one of the previous posts, the retaining springs are not forceful enough to hold the adjusting screws as adjusted.
I like the laser feature, but additional product refinement seems to be in order.

Dewalt DW7187 Laser sys
Kit came with instructions that were not straight forward. The installation was very easy, but I could never get it to align properly so I cannot use the Laser System at all. I'll give it another shot when I am not real busy and can mess with the thing but between the two adjustment knobs and lack of trouble shooting instructions I could not get it to align properly with the intended cut.

DW7187 Laser
I was slow in ordering the laser after looking at the reviews. However, I was pleased at the ease of assembly and adjustment. The instuctions on the web were very helpful. I spent more time looking for them than it took to mount the laser. It appears Dewalt has a US site and one in Europe. Who knows how many more, but make sure to go to the US site. I am very pleased with the laser, it puts out a better line to follow than the one on my Bosch. The 716 that I mounted the laser on is top of the line, but with the laser even better for trim work. Plan on buying another Dewalt 716 saw and laser at the same time.

The reviews for this have not been very good. I think that it is because these people are idiots. Obviously they do not know what they are doing when it comes to reading and following instructions, I put this guide on my Dewalt 10 inch sliding miter saw and ajusted it according to the instructions. this tool is awesome. I have had no problems with it.
