Avg Customer Rating: 4 stars

Product Description: This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like-new condition. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes.

For flush-cutting capability, increased versatility, and less bending of blades, DeWalt's heavy-duty reciprocating saw kit can't be beat. This kit features a four-position blade clamp for inserting blades in two vertical and two horizontal cutting orientations, 10 amps of cutting power, and a 1-1/8-inch blade stroke that easily cuts through thicker stock. A variable speed trigger operates from 0 to 2,800 strokes per minute so you can match the tool speed to the cutting application. A lever-action blade-changing system means faster blade changes and less downtime. Compact and lightweight at 17-1/2 inches long and just 7 pounds, this saw is fantastic for tight quarters. Your purchase includes a metal cutting blade and a durable carrying case.

Customer Reviews

5 stars Great tool and a good deal
I used my $50 Dewalt rebate for this and am most happy with my $29.99 reciprocating saw. I had forgotten that it was a factory reconditioned unit until I decided to read the other reviews. I see no signs that this saw is not a new unit. First thing out of the box I used the saw to cut a solid piece of 1.5 inch cold roll. I figured if it crapped out I'd just put it back in the box and send it back. As you can see from my 5 star rating I am impressed with this saw. I even cleaned it up and put it back in its hard-shell box instead of throwing it in the JoBox like I do with my other power tools. I've had good luck with all my Dewalt Recon tools. No problems whatsoever. Now Coleman/Powermate...Grrrrrrr!!! That's a negative (-6) star review.

4 stars Pretty good, but
It doesn't see much action in my line of work, so I bought it on the cheap. I like the way you can orient the blade either vertical or horizontal. But it doesn't have the power (or orbital action) of my 30 year old Porter Cable. Its OK, and has managed to cut a 4-inch cast iron drain pipe.

4 stars Gets the job done
This isn't a tool that gets a whole lot of use, but sure is useful when doing renovations. Good tool. The quick disconnect is a must, especially when handling hot blades. Lots of power. It is also great for cutting PVC pipe.

4 stars Almost perfect
This saw came in nearly new condition with only a few blemishes. The only issue was a blade mount that was partially jammed with saw dust. After a few blade changes, the shoe would no longer lock the blade tightly. I had to disassemble the mount and use an air gun to blow out the gunk. All was fine after that and it was more of an annoyance than anything. I had to stop in the middle of my project to do this. Still, it was worth the 30% I saved over brand new.
