Customer Reviews

4 stars Perfect Tool for House Wiring
One tool that quickly & easily strips the sheath off 12 or 14 gauge Romex and then the insulation off individual wires. The voltage sensor adds the safety factor of checking to be sure the power is off.

4 stars A great addition to my toolbox
Works like a usual romex stripper but with the addition of a sensor that generates a tone and visual indication when the hand of the tool is within a few inches of a line voltage source. Designed to make sure you don't strip a live wire. I've certainly had the experience of pulling the breaker and not realizing that the second circuit in the box is still live... I've also used the circuit alert feature to follow circuits within a wall. Not to mention, you can determine the right breaker without an assistant - put it near the box/fixture/outlet you want to turn off, with power on you will hear the tone, walk over to the fusebox, keep pulling until it goes off. I've found it quite helpful in just a few weeks. Easily worth the extra $15 over a normal romex stripper.
