SC1400 Cordless Super Compact Drill
This drill is the best yet! I have owned so many cheap drills and this one holds the charge a long time. I even used it a whole day putting together a shed, and it still had life at the end of the day. It's grrrreat!

Lots Of Power But...
The B&D SC1400 has TONS of power, but doesn't run slow enough RPM's for properly starting screws. I replaced the first thinking there was something wrong with the trigger, and the second was the same way. All cordless drills I've had can be run so slowly they barely turn, this takes off too fast. Getting a replacement from B&D and hopefully it was two defective triggers.

It is exactly what you would expect
This is a nice, compact drill/driver. The quality and performance are great for everyday projects and it has the capacity to take on the occasional big job. I like the stand-charger. It is convenient and sturdy. The drill itself is well balanced and has the power to get through most anything you can throw at it. I am looking forward to using the lithium-ion battery and expect it to be a welcome change to the Ni-Cads of the past. I also like the power indicator on the drill itself; nice touch.
Too bad that the battery can not be swapped out but I am hopeful that this won't be a problem with the Li-Ion set up.
This is a good "go to" unit for most day to day needs. That being said, I am glad that I also have my 18v powerhouse with dual batteries for bigger projects to back me up.

A convient and powerful tool
It is powerful and compact. It comes very handy to do chores around the house.

Good beginner drill
I have many high quality cordless drills. I bought this one for the around the house basic stuff and for the wife to use. It is small, lightweight, 14.4v drill that has a non-removable battery so battery servicing will be difficult. The charge cradle works well to keep the battery topped up and the Li Ion cell has no memory effect! It seems quite powerful for its size and is easy to operate. The major downside is the lack of enough clutch settings, which can make precise driving of fasteners difficult at times. Apart from that, it would make a good basic drill as an intro into the Lithium Ion drill type.
