Avg Customer Rating:
Product Description: The Eastern Tools and Equipment 2,700 watt portable generator has a 5 HP 196 cc engine with a 3-gallon fuel tank that delivers up to 7-hours of run time. The air-cooled engine produces less than 67-decibels at 17 feet, making this generator an ideal choice noise is a consideration. An automatic shutdown function for when oil pressure becomes dangerously low is provided, and the alternator is maintenance-free for worry-free operation. The mounting between the engine/alternator feet and the base frame reduces vibration and improves durability, and the non-fused breaker protects against AC overloads. The included DC 12-volt charging system powers car and boat batteries. The generator is backed by a 1-year limited warranty.

Customer Reviews
Can't beat it for the price.
Bought this unit for camping and after it's maiden voyage I'm pretty happy with the results. Ran all weekend without a hitch and started on the first pull every time. Ran pretty strong although we weren't really pushing it. Will see how it does in the long run but it seems fairly solid.
Was getting about 7.5 to 8 hours runtime on 2 gallons. Of course, we were only running a dorm-sized refrigerator, tv, stereo system, and lights (around 700 watts give or take, 25% load). Pretty decent fuel efficiency, would be interesting to see what I would get at 50 or 75 percent load. I did test this unit with all of the above plus a 1500w heater (2200w total) and it didn't even hickup so it does seem to be able to run at least close to it's rated wattage; I didn't have enough stuff to test it at the full 2700 running watts.
For it's size the noise level is very acceptable. You can have a loud conversation standing next to it whereas with my old Coleman Powermate 1500w you had to yell. Fits the bill perfectly for us as we pretty much only do camping at Nascar tracks; out there everybody has a generator and most of them are louder than this one. Would have no qualms about running it during a power outage in the back yard.
There is a breaker that cuts power to the receptacles on and off, which is handy. There is a light that comes on when the receptacles are switched on and a low oil warning light (could have saved us on our last generator but oh well). They aren't really bright enough to see during the daytime.
Some of the pieces are kind of cheap. The starter handle broke when it snapped back after a start (lol I noticed later that it said in the manual not to let it snap back, to let it back gently). The receptacles seemed kind of tight when you went to plug something in, and I was a little worried about pushing too hard on it for fear of breaking the receptacles on the front plasic panel. After a day of moist conditions some of the stickers were peeling off.
Shipping was excellent. I needed it fast so opted for the Amazon Prime free trial and got free 2 day shipping via FedEx (take note: free 2 day shipping with fedex on a 90lb item). Ordered at 2:00am and they shipped it out the very same day. I wasn't there when they delivered it the first time so they had to lug it all the way back out the next day (haha, should have come out earlier the first day).
All in all I think it's a pretty good value. Any name brand generator of this size will probably cost twice as much (whether this one will last as long is yet to be determined). For a couple of times a year usage, I feel like it will last a while. This is THE best generator deal I could find anywhere, good job Amazon.

Mid-sized, reasonably quiet
I was looking for a mid-sized generator that wouldn't upset the neighbors with noise. The TG3000 fits the bill pretty well. Came in with small cracks on the panel; all other OK.
There were some descrepencies between Amazon, the web site, and the owner's manual. The web site and the owner's manual indicate 171CC engine; the stickers on the unit indicate 163CC. The owner's manual indicates a dip-stick on the oil filler cap; there is none. The web site indicates 240 socket; there is none (I knew before ordering).
In any case, it started easily, and the noise level is much less that a lawn mower. Not quiet enough for a busy campsite at night, but pretty good.

DECEPTIVE advertising, DECENT product
I received from Amazon two generators, none of which I ordered. Finally, this one I ordered made it to my place, in one piece. It started ok after gas, oil, and a few pulls, and ran smoothly. It is advertised by Amazon as displaying a current meter (False!) and car battery charging capabilities (Even more false!). The manufacturer contradicts itself a few times with respect to overall dimensions, gas tank capacity, gas consumption and weight. None of the data available on the internet and Amazon makes sense, as it contradicts itself all over the place. Apparently, as a nation, we are running out of people who can measure a box with some degree of accuracy... I tested it for a couple of hours, everything seems to be all right. I've been spoiled by Amazon to receive nothing but first class products, and Amazon was kind enough to issue refunds for the first two units. It seems to be though a good generator, yet advertised by some nuts.

cheap power
Generator arrived ahead of the delivery date, put oil and gas in and it started on the first pull. Arrived in good shape, pluged 2 1500 watt heaters into it and it worked excellent. Was to come with A 12 volt battery charger, that was wrong, amazon said no it didn,t but the product description said it did. I lost out on that, main reason for ordering this one.
