Customer Reviews

1 stars AVOID THIS LIKE THE PALGUE
Bought it and opened the crate to find...RUST RUST RUST everywhere. On the spidle, handles, and especially on the 'hardened' ways. On the ways? That's like buying a new shotgun and finding rust in chamber and inside the barrel.
First use, yupper, the tailstock broke...actually, some yung dung head at the Chicom factory DID NOT assemble it with a three cent keyway holder.
Finish is rough, at best...it's just an over-priced Harbor Freight 9x19 lathe. Under powered, over priced.
Now, to get my money back from Grizzley....

1 stars Avoid at all costs
I purchased this lathe about 1 1/2 years ago. The motor went on it about 3 months ago (with very light use - like once per month). Grizzly has still not been able to give me the parts I need, and my experience with customer service has been pathetic. For example, they shipped a motor, but not the other parts that were needed. So I've had a $150 motor in my workshop for 2+ months, which is starting to rust by the way. And the parts I need are not supposed to be in by "the end of the month" - the same story as last month. So now I'm looking at basically throwing a $1000 purchase (including stand) in the trash. Unbelievable....
