Customer Reviews

5 stars Excellent table saw
I purchased this table saw about four months ago, and I have found it to be absolutely outstanding in every way. Delivery was fast and free, and set-up was simple, straightforward and well-documented. The saw was ALMOST totally square, true and ready to go out of the box (I had only to make a simple adjustment to the splitter, which was not properly aligned with the blade). The fence is solid and stable during use, but very easy to adjust. The blade guard, pawls and splitter are easy to install and remove when necessary. Blade changes are easy. The table expands to about 40" wide, which is very large for a portable saw (although you might want to make a sled so you can accomodate larger materials for crosscutting, as the table isn't very deep in front of the blade). Even the included 40-tooth combo blade stood up really well. The only thing that wasn't up to snuff was a kind of wobbly miter gauge, but a lot of saws don't include any miter gauge, so I can't complain (but I replaced it with an Incra anyway). I have only good things to say about this saw. If you have only a small garage workspace like I do, but you want a fully-functional saw, look no further!

5 stars First class saw
I had settled on either a Jet JWTS-10 or the Ridgid TS3650, but my concern was my workshop is only 10'x16'. When I went and looked at the Jet at Woodcraft, it became clear that both these stationary table saws (even with a moveable base) were too big (5' wide) for my space.
Based on the specs, reviews, video on YouTube, and Bosch's reputation I decided on the Bosch 4100 with the gravity rise stand. This is a first class, well engineered, well built saw. All the critical adjustments (blade vertical, parallel to mitre slot, fence parallel to blade, etc) were dead-on right out of the box. I installed a Freud thin kerf blade with stabilizing plate (highly recommend a thin kerf blade). I bought the side and back extensions which greatly increase the usability of the saw. Even though the miter slot is a T-slot, it accepts 3rd party accessories.
The stand is a beautifully engineered device. I don't anticipate taking this around a lot like a contractor, but I sure do like that I can fold it up and stick it in the corner when not in use and gain some space back. I am very impressed and pleased with this saw and easily recommend it.

5 stars Satisfied
My last table saw I bought in the early 70's. A friend purchased his Bosch 4100 and I tried it out and was amazed at its features. Because I'm older it was getting harder to lift and move the old saw, so the "stand-on-wheels" was one feature I really needed. I've been using the new saw everyday after I get home from work for the last three weeks and have built a ash dresser and pine kitchen isle. The magnified ruler on the saw is very accurate and easy to use -- don't need to re-check with the folding ruler. The blade that came on the saw is pretty smooth, but I still finish it off with the planer. Easy to move, accurate, clean cuts for the price, I am impressed. You might want to read the directions on putting the stand together rather than trying to "macho wing-it". I even laughed at myself on that part.

4 stars Great saw....But
But you see the way the gravity base projects off the left side about 12" at foot hieght...Thats a great foot tripper, hose and cord grabber. Forget about left side walk by feeding close to the table...a very common practice. Sure that projection helps with stability...but its in the way. What about dust collection? No Problem on a rough frame job site; but do a high end remodel where compact size and fine dust containment is essential and the crew hooking cords, huffin dust and shop-vac'n nooks and crannies. I'd sacrifice the mitre guage and riffin attachment for decent dust control. A clean work environment is more productive, safe and appreciated.... almost enjoyable.

5 stars Wow, nice saw!
My husband and I bought this saw after a lot of online research. He used to be a carpenter (in another lifetime!) and knew what he wanted in a portable table saw - and was not disappointed with this Bosch saw! It took us a couple of hours to put it all together - and even *I* can work the gravity-rise stand! ;-) We spent some more time making sure everything was set up perfectly before using it for the first time.

It's great that the accessories store right on the sides of the saw. There is even a spot for the Allen wrench! The saw and stand are of excellent quality, the saw works perfectly, the safety features work easily and well - and it's easy to store it in the upright position in front of the garage.

Great work, Bosch!
