Don't buy this piece of junk!
I was really happy to find a cordless glue gun; as the cord always seems to get in the way. This unfortunately is not the answer. It takes forever to charge and the charge never lasts; the glue never seems to heat up. I'm going back to an old reliable corded glue gun.

Glue gun failed after five months - disappointing
I purchased this glue gun in February and it finally bit the dust in July. Does that seem like an appropriate lifespan for anything other than a bug?!?

The idea of a cordless glue gun is fabulous. Charge the battery and get to work - there's no need to remain connected to an outlet. I learned early on that the exercise of heating something, anything, draws significant battery power, and that's what happens with this glue gun. The battery drains quickly. I found myself leaving the battery in the charger when not in use, just to be sure I didn't come up short when working on a project.

Unfortunately, after just five months of very easy and limited service (gluing boxes closed before mailing), the glue gun decided to call it quits. The battery remains fully charged, but the gun simply will not heat up. It's done. Caput. And so am I. I have contacted ColdHeat directly to ask for a replacement, but their silence has been deafening.

Nice idea, and that's about it.

OUTSTANDING IDEA! I purchased this item to assist me at work, closing flaps of floor tile boxes that customers had opened. Working in a large home improvement store, I found that customers tended to open the flaps of the floor tile boxes to see what the tile inside looked like. By the end of the day, this left a mess to clean up.

The gun was convenient and held a charge for over an hour, while I worked to repair the damage the customers did to the packages.

The relatively inexpensive gun saved thousands in damaged packaging and lost sales.
I found the gun was a little slow to heat up. This caused a problem because if the trigger was pressed before the gun was hot enough, the glue stick would bend and kink inside the gun. It also tended to stretch the "gripper" that pushed the glue stick through the gun.

Once I got the hang of it, the gun was great! It prevented me having to lift the heavy boxes of tile off the shelf. I could make my repairs where the heavy merchandise was, right on the display shelf.

Great Product
Great Glue Gun. It is so easy to use. It is lightweight and portable. I found it great for kids. I used it for a 5 year old birthday party. The kids could work it without help. I wasn't worried about them getting burned because the tip never gets hot. The glue also cooled off quickly so they didn't get burned. The only thing that I had to make an adjustment to was that the glue did cool quickly so I had to remember to work in small areas. Once I got used to it, it was so easy and fun to use. The other mothers at the party plan on getting the same glue guns for themselves.
