Customer Reviews

2 stars Could have been a great tool
This could have been a great tool with a few modifications. I must say I am really disappointed with it and intend on returning it to the local home improvement center where I bought it. The unit comes with 1 base and 2 mounts. One of the mounts is a push pin mount for mounting into drywall. This mount does not work. The magnet on the side of the level is not strong enough to hold the unit into the push pin mount which could result in damaging the unit if it should fall from mount onto the floor. Mine will not hold the unit at all.
The laser level itself would have been more usefull and would have mounted better with the included mounts if it had squared off surfaces. The unit is threaded for use on a tripod. I would argue the ability to mount it on a tripod was done because the included mounts are worthless. The laser is difficult to see when placed on the floor. I can see it fine if I turn the lights off. Laying floor tile in the dark sounds like fun. My chalk line and tape measure are much faster than trying to setup this unit. Even at the price of $29 I feel like I got suckered. My advice is to save your money and put it towards something better.
