Customer Reviews
Rebuilt is Great Buy
The Porter-Cable FC350AR clipped head framing nailer is a good framing nailer. It is rugged, lightweight and well balanced. The magazine loads and unloads quickly. It has a no shoot feature where it will not shoot when down to the last few nails. (Other guns will fire even when empty, which wastes time on the redo and is dangerous because you can have unfastened pieces on the worksite you might then use for load bearing). The clip head style is nice because you don't have a lot of plastic chips everywhere that the full head nails with their plastic collated magazines make. The adjustable air exhaust is nice. I used mine on a remodeling job and I had the nailer positioned every which way, so being able to keep the exhaust out of my face was nice. The ability to change from bump nailing to sequential trip is a great feature that lets you choose maximum safety or production. My son at age 15 handled the nailer with ease. We shot just about 50 nails on this small job reframing a large window opening. The framing nailer was definitely needed here. Hammering in 3 inch nails in cramped quarters from underneath would have been very unpleasant. You will do a better job faster with the use of a pneumatic tool.
Specifically to the rebuilt tool, the tool was in like new condition except for the teeth on the nosepiece of the tool. Those were sharp but had been work polished free of the black tint that covers the steel parts of the tool. The magazine, which is anodized aluminum, had no scratches or wear marks. I suspect Porter Cable put on a new one. The body was repainted. If you know Porter-Cable tools they have a very tough and durable powdercoat finish. Careful examination showed that Porter-Cable repainted the body of this tool. This tells me Porter-Cable does a good job on these rebuilt tools, even caring about cosmetic appearance. Given the deep discount that these tools sell for off the price of a new tool this is a tremendous value.

Factory Recons seem to last longer, as least for me.
I'm really liking this gun. I've ordered quite a few factory reconditioned tools and have never been dissatisfied. They seem to last longer, at least they do for me. The feature I like the best on this gun is that you just drop the nails in the back. No need to pull the knob and then insert the nails. Drop them in the back and pull handle back. I'm thinking now, it's basicly the same movements but it seems easier. What the heck, it's easier then the older models. As far as breakdowns go? I've never had any with a reconditioned tool. I suggest, go for it.

Just like new
I bought this item because of the name brand and took a chance on saving some money buying the factory refurbished model and couldn't be happier with my purchase. The nail gun works perfectly and looks just like a new one. Very happy with my purchase indeed. :-)

As promised
The gun arrived on time and in good conditions. The factory pre-sets where not correct ... but a quick adjustment and it worked fine. I would not hesitate to buy a reconditioned Porter Cable product again.

This is refurbished?
Finished my basement, finished my brothers basement, built a shed, built a playset. I am not a professional, but this nailer rocks! I have run about 6000 nails through it, not a hint of a problem.
Usage hint: When toenailing 2x4's, rest the tip and magazine on the wood with the tip about 3/4" from the end pull the trigger, perfect every time.
