Amazon transposed the part numbers and shipped me the wrong item. I ordered No. 92490 and received No. 92942

Caution - a bad battery will blitz your charger
I've been using my FlexCharge drill and screwdriver systems for many years and really love them. Even though I must shell out big bucks every few years to replace my higher voltage combo systems, I keep these little guys around since they are really handy and convenient for all the small jobs. When both my chargers stopped working simultaneously, I ordered another one which also immediately failed. Oops! Apparently one of the batteries was shorted and was blitzing the chargers. Since I could not determine which one was the bad guy, I had to replace both and buy another charger. So, the downside is that these chargers have no self-protection against a shorted battery. If your charger dies, check the transformer and if it appears deformed, it was overheated and you need to replace both the charger and the batteries. Fortunately, Amazon still has both available at reasonable prices. I've stocked up on both and even bought a spare drill and driver for when replacements are no longer available.

FlexCharger
I bought the charger as my old one died. The new one only last a week and then died, but I was able to get a replacement. I read one of the previous review that old battery might cause the charge to over heat and die. So I bought two new batteries with the new charger. It seems it is working. If it dies again, I will buy another powertool of different brand.

Skil 3.6 Volt Drill Battery Charger
Battery is equal in performance to the original battery that came with the Skil Stick Style Drill. The first charger I ordered through Amazon burned-out the first time I used it. This is the second charger I purchased which works fine. I had bought two new batteries to use with the charger. The first charger may have burned-out because I tried to recharge the original batteries which were dead.

Trash...stay away
I tried not to believe other reviews but ended up wasting my money. If I could give a negative number of stars I would. I went through two of these chargers before I learned my lesson. Bite the bullet, throw out the tools that use this battery and update your workshop. Trying to continue using this battery system is useless and dangerous.
