5yrs old and still working well
I bought this back in the fall of 2003 thinking it would be good for a couple of yrs of light use. It's made by Robert Bosch and in Malaysia (if the new ones are China made, that could make a difference) It has surprised me at how well it works in a range of applications. From pilot hole drilling & countersinking to driving 3" decking screws and then to 4" hexhead driving galv gutter-screws, it has done well. No it is not nearly as strong as a Porter Cable 14.4 nor as sturdy, but for short bouts I find it capable. I've never used the stud finder since I own a larger 9v unit, so I cannot say if the included piggyback works.

The drawbacks for me are few, but once in awhile I'd like a shorter recharge period, although charging while eating lunch usually gives enough juice to finish up small work. And the size makes it hard to get into some places or to carry in my tool belt pocket while going up a ladder. So to remedy those problems, I just purchased a fast charging, high torque compact 12v Ridgid drill/driver, but I will continue to enjoy using this Skill too.

I would say it's a great, affordable, all around weekend warrior tool.

SKIL 2567 A BAD BUY!
Cordless drills need to meet three criteria to be worth buying. Have adequate torque to drive screws, a battery that holds a charge under modest use and two batteries to facilitate continuous use. The SKIL 2567 has none of these. I bought this drill to replace a 14.4 B&D, which performed well (re: the above three conditions) but B&D discontinued manufacturing both the batteries and the chargers, both of which went bad.

The SKIL 2567 has very limited torque or driving and drilling power. Only twist drills of less than 1/4" can be used with reasonable effectiveness. Spade bits take forever to drill trough a 2" board, if the drill doesn't peter out first. The battery retains its charge through only the lightest job and since only one comes with the drill kit, you are SOL for finishing the job. Further, the battery doesn't retain its charge for very long while the drill is dormant. A full charge will dissipate almost completely in about three weeks, so the idea of grabbing your drill for a quick job is not possible.

My SKIL 2567 came with an attached STUD FINDER, which is even more hilariously useless than the drill. It is powered by one of those expensive, small round batteries you normally find in cameras, etc. I installed the battery when I purchased the drill and it was totally dead by the next time I picked up the drill. For a few dollars more than the cost of a new battery you can buy a stud detector that runs on AA batteries.

SKIL made their name on handheld circular saws. I have had one for years. But I, for one, will not purchase any cordless tools with the SKILL name on them.

Disappointing at any cost
I bought one of these drill-drivers for about $25 on clearance sale at a big box retailer. Even at that price, the 10~15 minute battery life is disappointing and the replacement battery cost exceeds $25 purchase price of the drill-driver. A one year warranty is offered, but you have to mail the complete product to a national repair center at your cost.

In short, I subsequently purchased a 9.6v Dewalt drill-driver for $50 (on sale) which is smaller, lighter, more powerful and has longer battery life. If this unit fails, I can take it to my local Dewalt repair center.

Great Buy
I have been looking for 3/8" drill/driver. This is even better with a cordless version. Stud finder is definitely a bonus.

It quit working
I bought this driver for a project and it worked great. Then I put it in the garage and when I pulled it out a year later it would not recharge. New batteries and chargers cost the same as the driver, so I think it was pretty expensive for one small project.
I would not buy this brand again.
