Avg Customer Rating: 2 stars

Product Description: This Flattening Stone will keep your waterstones straight and flat for razor-sharp edges. It eliminates the "dish" that develops in waterstones over time and exposes a fresh cutting face for faster, more effective sharpening. This stone features coarse-grit silicon carbide that cuts quickly, and deep diagonal grooves that allow waste material to easily escape.

For waterstones only. Measures 9" x 3" x 3/4". Comes in a padded plastic case. For best results, bring the waterstone to the Flattening Stone. To ensure the entire surface of the waterstone is flat, use a pencil to draw a grid on its surface before flattening.

Customer Reviews

1 stars Worthless.
I cannot believe that Norton sells this product.

It is a nothing more than a 220 grit waterstone with slurry channels that goes out of flatness so fast that it is completely worthless.

This is NOT a reference plane in any sense of the word. If you want a true reference plane to flatten your waterstones get a truly flat piece of mirror glass and use 180 or 220 grit silicon carbide wet/dry sandpaper.
