Panasonic EY7541 Impact Wrench
This is the 1/2" lithium ion powered 14.4v impact wrench. The wrench features a brushless electric motor that is much more efficient than a comparable brushed motor. The run time is long and I don't have to be mindful of the battery's quirks (quickly depleting charge when not in use, long recharge time, memory effect, etc.) like the Nicad and NiMh types. The new lithium ion (and lithium polymer) battery chemistry allows for much shorter charge times as well as being lighter for any given capacity. I love the wrench, the sturdy case, the extra battery and the charger. It all adds up to a great tool which I expect to use for years. I already tested it's torque capacity on my car's lug nuts. Removed nearly all of them. I was pleasantly surprised as this test is outside of my planed use of the tool. If it can loosen lug nuts then it will have no issues on less torque-demanding applications.
